Vy is our newest addition to the Portland Chiropractic crew, and has the best singing voice of us all by far. They’re also the lead singer for a local band named Danava and the West Coast Leg of their tour is coming up, so plan ahead for your body work!
Vy’s initial training is from East-West College of the Healing Arts here in Portland. They focused on myofascial release as well as tui na and reiki. These skills come in very handy as Vy continues on their transition journey. This gives them the experience rarely found in a bodyworker, as they understand the incredible shifts in self on this path. These changes in tissue and structure are reflected in the alterations in energy, emotion, and mindset.
One of the challenges of transition is allowing your body to become open to receiving the therapeutic relief of bodywork. If you’re queer, feel different, are in transition, intersectional, however you identify, Vy has the skills, experience, and kindess to work with you to deescalate what may feel like trauma inside your body.
